Cornell alum, Ying Ma, praised The Cornell Review at the Young America’s Foundation conference on August 3rd. During her time at Cornell, Ma served as President of Cornell’s conservative newspaper, The Cornell Review. Ma described how
“I was very inspired by all that they [the columnists] wrote and got involved… During my 4 years at Cornell, I was involved with the paper, I very much enjoyed it…I thought debating conservative ideals was crucial to my college expereince… Ultimately, I became more and more involved because I felt that the ideas were more compelling… Cornell was really where it all got started.”
After graduating magna cum laude from Cornell University, Ma went on to attend Standford Law and author Chinese Girl in the Ghetto. She writes regularly about China, international affairs and the free market. Her writings have appeared in numerous publications including The Wall Street Journal Asia, the International Herald Tribune, the Los Angeles Times,National Review Online, The Weekly Standard, Policy Review and other publications.
