Protest At Cornell

A common sight these days but on a freezing afternoon, this was a demonstration for the rights of Native Americans.

Just exactly who are the “native” Americans? There are no indigenous people to the U.S. There are certain immigrations of various types over the centuries, but even those are not conclusive as to whom may have arrived first. Certainly, good people from the Pacific, Nordic, Asian and other regions made it to North America, but none originated here. Is this a typical, university style conclusion in search of some facts to support an ancient hypothesis, long since debunked, leaving the matriculators devoid of a reason to feel sorry for a group of people whom they hold in contempt as their inferiors.

So, the question for the demonstration is, for whom does the protest benefit and against whom does the demonstration protest? How does one know whom they should patronize and whom they should hate? Actually, for the “scholarly” crowd, it is simple: make shit up to suit your feelings of superiority, envy, blame, hatred, and intellectual sloth.
