Ithaca Assemblywoman Receives Low Rank on Unshackle Ithaca Scorecard

According to a recent ranking, Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton (D-Ithaca) promotes policies that are unfriendly to taxpayers.  The ranking was conducted by Unshackle Upstate, “a bipartisan coalition of over 80 business and trade organizations . . . dedicated to changing the way the New York State government treats taxpayers and private sector businesses.”  The ranking took into account Assembly members’ voting records, budget votes, and sponsorships.  Of the 150 Assembly members, Lifton was ranked 106th, with a score of -5 out of 100.  Unshackle Upstate’s rationale for Lifton’s ranking can be found here.
